Hi, I'm Zoë
I live by the sea in Folkestone with my husband Rob and our two cats, Flo and Pablo (who are very much the heart and soul of our home).
Creativity has been part of my life for as long as I can remember, from making birthday cards as a kid to studying Fashion and Textiles degree at Winchester School of Art.
For over a decade I’ve worked as a print designer and illustrator building a life around colour, pattern and making things. Designing prints that have sold to fashion brands around the world.
Through harder chapters in my life, going through breast cancer at 29, and more recently navigating grief after losing my dad, I've found myself coming back to the same things again and again: creativity, nature, feel good connection.
They've helped me slow down, feel calmer, and find pieces of joy when life has felt heavy.
And somewhere in all of that, a small idea started to grow: What if doing something creative together could help people feel a little lighter?
That question became Make Time Club.
A place to come and connect, to take a breath, and spend a bit of time doing something just for you. A space to find your inner child again.
Because to me, creativity isn’t just about making art, it’s curiosity, playfulness, and making things simply for the joy of making.
Not because it has to be productive. Not because it has to be good.
But because the process itself can help us feel more alive.
And then there's rob
Somewhere along the way, Make Time Club stopped being just my project and became ours.
Rob, my husband and my left-hand man in all of this , is behind the scenes of pretty much everything you see: the beautiful photos that capture each event, the practical stuff that makes a workshop actually run smoothly, and the general cheerleading that keeps me going when I'm elbow-deep in paint pots at 10pm the night before an event.
He's also a brilliant artist in his own right, known for his highly detailed charcoal drawings, often inspired by the natural world.
